On May 19th of 2012, the Memphis Music and Business Communities came together to organize a fundraiser for Collierville High School Student, Trey Erwin. Q107.5, the Memphis Grizzlies, Republic Coffee, and Dr. Eric Gardner presented the benefit at the Collierville High School Stadium. The concert featured Tennman Recording Artists FreeSol along with Prosevere, Jimi Jamison of Survivor, Twin Soul, the Jeff Maxwell Band, and Ashton.
Trey was 15 year-old wide receiver for the Collierville Dragon football team in Collierville, TN. Tragically, Trey was diagnosed with adult pancreatic adenocarcinoma, which rapidly spread to his liver. At this point, there is no cure for this type of cancer. Sadly, Trey lost his fight on July 5th 2012.
The goal of the concert was to ease the financial burden of the Erwin family as they focus their attention on taking care of their boys as well as raise funds designed to increase research and awareness to this rare form of cancer in kids and young adults.
In an effort to extend the funding for this cause Hutch Entertainment is proud to offer the official Play-for-Trey T-Shirt.
