Free Fallin is honored and humbled to continue performing Tom Petty’s music in the wake of his passing in October of 2017. Along with the music world, his fans and family our hearts are broken.
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers music has become the soundtrack for the 20th century and beyond. The Heartbreakers have sold over 80 million records and four of his albums have gone 12X platinum. His songs are heard everyday on a variety of radio formats including his own XM channel.
Presenting a stunningly accurate tribute to the look and sound of the Heartbreakers, Free Fallin has successfully toured the country for more than 10 years performing at festivals, fairs, casinos, and major concert venues. This has earned them a glowing reputation as one of the finest tribute bands in the country.
Tom P“You guys rocked the house – a true cover band / tribute band tries to employ everything there is about the band they love. You guys absolutely do this and you sound just like them. Very nicely done – great band !”

Free Fallin’ – Taste of Minnesota Tuesday, September 29, 2015
Review by Rick Hughes, Bristol, VA
Review – Diamond Jo Casino, Dubuque, IA November 29, 2013
For any promoter or booking agent looking for outstanding entertainment I highly recommend Free Fallin’, a tribute to Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. I booked Free Fallin’ to headline at Sterlingfest main stage concert series and found the band to be spectacular on all levels and aspects of a live band. Aside from Free Fallin’ perfectly recreating the look and sound of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers they were an exceptionally easy band to work with. Free Fallin’ was clearly one of the most polished and professional bands I’ve had the pleasure of booking for our city festival. Without a doubt Free Fallin’ is a high energy act that kept our audience entertained, on their feet and singing along nonstop to flawless renditions of Petty’s deep catalog of hits.
Thank You,
Mike Crimmins, Broadcasting Services Manager

We would definitely do this again – actually it may have to be an annual event! I would love to write up a testimonial if it could be of use. Thanks so much!”

To Anyone Interested in Booking Free Fallin:
When people say Free Fallin is the nation’s premier salute to Tom Petty they aren’t kidding. Free Falling rocked and amazed the crowd at the Wildey Theatre in Edwardsville, IL on November 3rd, 2012. The theatre already looks forward to the group’s potential return to the Wildey Theatre in the future. Not only does this group perfectly match the instrumentation and music quality of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, they match the overall atmosphere leaving your crowd longing for
song after song.
Free Fallin The Nations #1 Tribute to Tom Petty hit the stage running and swept up every audience member in the house. This group is a perfect addition to any tribute series at any size venue. Their stage presence keeps the audience watching and listening bringing a true live performance to life.
As a venue you work with a variety of different types of talent. Free Fallin The Nations #1 Tribute to Tom Petty may have huge stage presence, but this band is an absolute delight to work with from load in to load out. Not only is the band a pleasure day of show, but this band takes every effort to help promote their performances. The help with press releases, social media marketing, video clips,
and more was outstanding. It is the recommendation of the Wildey Theatre that if you are looking for a tribute to Tom Petty look no further than Free Fallin.
Sincerely,
The Wildey Theatre Management Team

Dear Sirs,
Free Fallin’ headlined the World Stage for our 10th and final St. John’s Block Party in Rochester, MN. Closing that stage with a tribute band had become a tradition over the past several years and Free Fallin’ has been one of the best we’ve had.
Not only do they recreate the sound and look of a Tom Petty Concert, the band and their management are true professionals. Promoters and organizers can sing their praises but the ultimate arbiter of a performance by any band, perhaps even more so with tribute bands, is the audience and the St. John’s crowd was absolutely thrilled with the concert this group put on. Thus the huge crowd that assembled were obviously Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers fans and they were enjoying this show as if it was the real thing.
Truth is, Free Fallin’ is the real deal. They are first and foremost, musicians but they also know how to have fun and engage the crowd. Their talent, along with their attention to detail and their enthusiasm for what they are doing, and their devotion to the music of Tom Petty was apparent from the first note to the last.
If you want a band that recreates the true Tom Petty and the Heartbreaker concert experience, and deal with good people, Free Fallin’ is your band. Their manager Mark Larsen was an absolute pleasure to work with and I look forward to booking them again soon.

“I want to keep you up-to-date on our efforts on the community concert/night –out. We were before the planning commission on Tuesday night. This group had few questions and unanimously passed our proposal to the full council for review 11/22. We are getting closer. Also did some homework. I went to an event that Free Fallin was playing for in Maplewood. This band is great! This band will draw a crowd. I look forward to all this working out and our event SEPT. 30th. Call if you should have any questions.”

“The kickoff night also featured several bands on the saloon stage. The Minnesota Whisky Pigzz, a local favorite kicked off Moondance and people immediately fell under the Moondance spell. Next up was Free Falling, which is a tribute to Tom Petty. I would have to venture to guess how much time this band spent learning these songs note perfect, as well as learning how the band sounds, moves and acts on stage. This was a most impressive tribute to Petty and the band should be back next year.”

Mark,
“It’s Jim again to just say Hi. When I head to Pine City and back every weekend to Lake Vermilion I usually hear at least two Tom Petty songs on KQ Duluth and think of you guys. Hope your gigs are going well, I checked your website to listen to a few samples. I’m hoping to get to the Duluth area this summer to see you, but it is a 90 mile trip, I’ll see what we can do. Every time Petty comes up I have to turn the volume up for Marleen to enjoy. Hope your doing fine, keep up the great music even if I can’t get there to see you.”
…Jim In Pine City
“I heard about this band that was in our nearby town awhile ago. Saw an ad that the owner was having them back to give a free Valentine’s concert at her bar “Froggy’s” in Pine City, MN. So I called a neighbor and went to it. After minutes we dropped our jaw and put our thumbs up!
We spent the entire evening totally entertained! My wife has been hearing impaired since birth and enjoys listening to music on an i pod without her aids. Soon after the concert she was downloading 15 Tom Petty songs from Apple to listen to. I didn’t know where Orrock was so I went to Maps and found it was not far from our friends who moved to Princeton. We called them and met last night at KJ’s Refuge for another great night of superb entertainment. When our picture was taken by the lady singer we told her about Froggy’s and she said to check the website that we’d be on it. When I got home at 2 a.m. I spent an hour hour at this awesome site and saw our picture 2 weeks ago and explored the many sections and music. Called my neighbor over to show him today. We plan to go to Doc’s in Sturgeon Lk.
I hope you guys don’t loose the enthusiasm. Keep it up!!!!”

I now know about your website and will be out to see you again. (I hope ABATE books you too! An Encore Performance would be great!) You Got Lucky, When I Found You!!”
